“Lady Slippers Trapunto”

I’ve always liked linking history with today’s techniques and this one works in nicely.  In the 16th and 17th centuries quilting and trapunto in particular was used as padding under suits of armor and as decorative clothing accents.  My class will include original methods up to and including machine methods.  We’ll cord ‘stems’ and pad leaves and generally go with the flow!  After stitching you will add color to the flowers using colored pencils, markers, and crayons.  My nod to mixed media.
