Hello everyone, Hope 2014 turned out better than you’d hoped! I will not be having a booth at this years League of NH Craftsmen’s fair at Sunapee in August in order to build up a new body of work. I’ll be trying new things and still teaching and lecturing…and participating in Living with Crafts and some ‘day demos’ at Sunapee. In the meantime I hope to be participating in the Wentworth Greenhouses (Rollinsford, NH) indoor Farmers Market on Feb. 14 and Mar 14, 9-2 each day. Stop by and see what I’ve been cooking up!
Here is my newest piece titled ‘A Sweet Day’ showing maple sap gathering in the late winter/early spring. As of this writing it is actually done and delivered to the Living With Crafts building at Mt. Sunapee resort for the upcoming League of NH Craftsmen’s annual Fair from August 2 through 10. I will have photography done after, as usual I work right down to the wire! I will be there in a demo/ sales tent #F, so come on by and see me. Mention you saw this post and I’ll give you 10% off your purchase!
Here is my piece called ‘Spring Beauties’. It is 12″ x 12″ and will be auctioned to benefit Studio Art Quilt Associates beginning in October 2014. There are hundreds of fabulous pieces of small art to choose from so please visit! www.saqa.com
On Feb 23, a day without a snow storm, we held our first meeting of 2014 at Seacoast Sewing and Quilting Center in Portsmouth, NH with 27 members and new friends! Jill generously has offered to host future meetings, becoming SAQA Central for us!
I announced there our upcoming exhibit to be shown at the World Quilt Show in Manchester, NH in August. I will attempt to post the info here for all you SAQA New England members! Also, the Maine Event, in Searsport, ME is being planned for the weekend of August 22-24!! You do not need to be a SAQA member to attend. Stay tuned for more info…
